Ryuichi Sakamoto é um músico e compositor com uma carreira iniciada em finais dos anos 70, autor de 20 bandas-sonoras para filmes como este tema que descobri da banda sonora do filme Babel, considerado como um dos compositores mais conceituados do panorama musical internacional, graças a um peculiar ecletismo musical assente na fusão de um romantismo ocidental misturado com influências de música clássica asiática, as suas músicas são intensas e emocionantes na sua cascata de sons, usando novos terrenos sónicos para além do piano e da guitarra, o seu som encaixa sem esforço, originando grandes vagas e marés de ondas melódicas.
